Laboratory Labels

We have just added a new line of Laboratory Labels to our Traceability line of products.  This line of labels is completely comprehensive and should meet every labeling need for your lab. 

The products range from Cryo DEEP-FREEZE labels which can withstand -196 to +120C and is printable using a laser printer.  There is no expensive equipment to buy to make your labels.  It is as simple as making labels for your mail!  Plus if you don't already have software, Micronic North America has several versions of label printing software with barcoding funcionalitites and graphic image uploads.  The labels come in a variety of colors as well to make the organization and traceability of your samples a breeze. 

We also offer DEEP-FREEZE Labels for Thermal Transfer printers.  These labels are resistant to multiple freeze-thaw cycles and have an extremely strong adhesion to polypropylene and other plastic surfaces. 

If your samples require chemical resistance, we have labels to fill your need.  Our line of Xylene and Solvent Resistant Labels and printout are resistant to Xylene, Toluene, Ethanol, Acetone, Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO), Acrylonitrile (ACN) and other chemicals.  These labels are ideal for printing side labels in cytology and histology labs.

                  LevelCheck: allows non-contact measurement of sample volume.  It works with capped and uncapped tubes.  LevelCheck scans 96 tubes in 16 minutes for sample volume.  It provides sample volume while cherry-picking tubes, and allows tube image inspection. 

                  Cold Room: With the Cold Room feature, the instrument can be used in temperatures as low as -4Cand within 10-90% relative humidity.

Pico200-The easiest to use spectrophotometer

We are proud to introduce the latest product in DNA quantification, the Pico200.  The Pico200 is one of the easiest products to use and it is fast!  The Pico200 has a friendly and user intuitive interface.  You can easily switch between protocols for nucleic acids, proteins, and other applications.  It also comes with pre-programmed methods to quantify your samples.  One specific pre-programmed mode is Kinetics that measures your sample every 10 seconds for one minute; perfect for reactions!  The Pico200 also only needs 2ul of sample volume to quantify and the sample is read in as little as 3 seconds.  The best feature of all might be that your sample is 100% recoverable as the sample remains in the pipette tip already used in your laboratory. 

The Pico200 alwos for the recovery of samples because of the unique development of the optical lens configuration combined with the precision manufactured UV transmissive polymer used to make the UVpette tips.  These UVpette tips are unique in that they allow the transmission of UV down to 220nm, thereby making them perfect for DNA and RNA studies. 

To make things even easier there is no need to clean between samples.  There is zero risk of cross-contamination or of evaporation as the sample is kept completely contained.  No regular calibration is needed.  There is a low cost for maintenance and to run it. 

The Pico200 is available with a Bluetooth device, an SD card or a printer.  It can also be connected directly to any computer so you can work directly in Excel with sample data and each sample can be given a unique reference number for easy identification.

Stability Products--Long-term Storage of Samples

Reagents now make long-term storage of biological samples at room temperature possible!  A revolutionary technology called SampleMatrix is used to provide stability and assay enhancement to your laboratory.

SampleMatrix technology is based upon the concept of anhydrobiosys (life without water).  The process is very simple: When mixed with a biological sample, the reagents essentially "shrink-wrap" biomolecules in a therm-stable dissolvable glass.  The sample is then rendered stable at room temperature.  Reagents work  with a variety of samples/appliactions including: stabilization of DNA, RNA as well as enhancement of PCR and STR assay signals.

DNAgard Tissues & Cells preserve DNA in tissues and cells for at least 6 months at room temperature in a liquid format.  DNA is stabilized immediately in complex samples. 

                                DNAgard Blood collects and transports whole blood at room temperature.  Blood is maintained under optimal conditions.  Samples are consistent from site to site.  DNA recoverd is of high quality. 

RNAstable provides long-term storage of purified total RNA samples at room temperature.  RNA, mRNA and miRNA sample integrity are all stored and protected with RNAstable. 

DNAstable provides long-term storage of purified genomic DNA samples at room temperature.  It is also compatible with array technologies and available in several formats. 

                                  DNAstable Blood stores whole blood and buffy coat at room temperature.  This      reagent is ideal for sample archiving.  The high quality DNA samples that DNAstable provids are useful in all downstream applications.  

                                  DNAstable Liquid-to-dry storage format is used for storing DNA at room temperature for up to 30 years (based on accelerated aging studies).  This is ideal for large sample collection archiving.  Quantitative yield can be recovered and ised without further purification.  Samples can be used in many downstream applications. 

With reagents there is no need for large and expensive freesers for storage or dry ice for shipping.  This will cut energy and shipping costs.  Your samples will be protected even in power outages and energy losses.  You will not only be saving your laboratory many costs and stresses but you will also be improving your lab's sustainability

Liquid Handling

Micronic North America has expanded its comprehensive line of Liquid Handling Products with SoftGrip Pipettes and the ML 600 series of Diluters and Dispensers.  Both the Pipettes and Diluters/Dispensers are designed with the user in mind with easy-to-use systems, high comfort and best overall accuracy and precision. 

The SoftGrip Pipettes have an ergonomic design that reduces the risk of repetitive-motion injury as well as lower risk fatigue because of low plunger force.  Comfort was key for the makers of the SoftGrip Pipettes but accuracy and precision were not compromised as accuracy and precision are guaranteed.  These pipettes are designed for all-day use if necessary and they were built to last.  The carousels and stands keep pipettes in easy reach and are constructed of heavy-duty, durable materials.

The Microlab 600, the latest upgrade from the Microlab 500, is a semi-automated liquid handling solution capable of dispensing and diluting repetitive applications.  The ML600 increases both throughput and consistency, while minimizing cost and wasted buffer. 

The ML 600 has a highly precise syringe pump with a graphical user interface designed to quickly and easily dispense and dilute liquids.  Dilutions, dispenses, titrations and more are visually displayed in real-time with just the touch of a button.  Dilution methods are stored on the system and recalled prior to use, ensuring that the same method is followed day in and day out.

Positive displacement system provides better than 99% accuracy, independent of a liquid's viscosity, vapor pressure, and temperature.  Inert fluid path minimizes sample carry over and improves compatibility with harsh chemicals.  

The ML 600 series of Diluters and Dispensers are perfect for a wide range of applications including: environmental, pharmaceutical, industry, mining, liquid scintillation, blood alcohol analysis, scheduled oil sampling, and construction.

Mobile Barcode Reader- PA600

Micronic NA has expanded its line of Barcode Readers with the new PA600 Mobile Barcode Reader.  This device is top of the line and provides optimal organization and benefits for your lab.  The PA600 comes standard with Bluetooth connectivity and WLAN as standard features which is different from old barcode readers that have to be connected to your PC to function.  You can synchronize the PA600 to your existing LIMS or database.  The PA600 offers maximum range and can go as far as your Wifi allows.  

This Mobile Barcode Reader can scan 1D and 2D barcodes along with RFID chips.  You can easily scan on the tubes, caps or racks.  The PA600 stores data captured from the barcodes or RFIDs in the unit itself.  You can scan the information into any Office application (Word, Excel, etc.) right on the device.  The data is very easy to see as well because the PA600 has a full color touchscreen that is easily navigable.  The PA600 also has an ergonomic alphanumeric keypad for simple data entry.  

The PA600 is lightweight, about 300g, and is small enough to fit inside of a shirt pocket.  But don't let the compact design fool you!  The PA600 is a powerful industrial device with a 520mHz processor and IP64 rating.  It can also withstand multiple drops of 4ft to a concrete floor without risk of damage.  This insures that your investment has not gone to waste and lowers the total cost of ownership.  The PA600 is also resistant to dust and moisture so nothing can stand in your way.
